Nearly 40 Years of Orthodontic Craftsmanship
Wired Orthodontic Lab transitioned from Ritter Orthodontic Lab in 2015. Ritter Orthodontic Lab, founded by Mark Ritter, provided quality appliances to both local and distant Orthodontists and Dentists for nearly 40 years. Wired Orthodontic Lab continues to utilize traditional fabrication techniques, in addition to new, digital fabrication methods.
David Heim and Wesley Unfried, owners of Wired Orthodontic Lab, partner with orthodontists and dentists to fabricate quality appliances that fit right the first time. Working as employed Orthodontic Lab Technicians for a local Orthodontist and Mark Ritter (previous owner of Ritter Orthodontic Lab) they know what it takes to meet your expectations and strive to exceed them. Being passionate and meticulous craftsmen enables David and Wesley to produce each appliance with the utmost attention to detail.
David is a Certified Dental Technician and has extensive knowledge of the dental industry through academics and years of practical experience. Earning twelve continuing education hours per year keeps David informed of the latest advancements and developments in the industry, which gives you peace of mind that we will be up to date on the latest trends and technology.

Wesley is the son of a local dentist and has been involved in the dental field and small business from an early age. Besides being a lab technician, he has also worked as an orthodontic assistant and a dental receptionist. These experiences have given him insight into more beyond the lab. By combining all of this knowledge, he is understanding of your daily operations and can tailor solutions to your specific needs.
Through achieving Removable Appliance Fabrication certificates at Great Lakes Orthodontics, David and Wesley learned both conventional and progressive techniques of fabricating orthodontic appliances. David has a B.S. in both Graphic Design and Advertising, and continues to utilize his education by creating imaging for the lab, including our logo, forms and this website. Wesley has both a M.S. and B.S. in Biology, which gives him a strong background of the anatomy and physiology of the body and mouth.
David and Wesley are excited and proud to announce that Ritter Orthodontic Lab is digital and is currently 3-D printing ready. We are now able to accept your digital scans and can fabricate any appliance you may need by using a printed model.
